Today is a big day for Sinocism, we have been acquired by the China Media Group as part of its efforts to better tell China’s story globally and its desire to leverage the Substack platform for an expansion into newsletters.

Happy April 1st, Sinocism has not joined the CCP propaganda system, though one DC hardliner did once refer to the newsletter as “Sinocommunism” because of their view that I am a shill for the CCP…

There is only other one other gag in the newsletter, it should be fairly obvious.

This weekend is the tomb sweeping festival 清明节 in China, the official holiday is Saturday through Monday.
